1. LA CALMA. THE CALM (冷静さ)
No hay golpes de pecho o muestras externas de desespero profundo. El mismo dolor ha sido elevado.
Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

2. LA DIGNIDAD. THE DIGNITY (尊厳)
Filas disciplinadas para obtener agua y comida. Ni una palabra desagradable, ni gestos de dureza. Paciencia admirable y digna de elogio.
Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture. Their patience is admirable and praiseworthy.
水や食べ物を受け取る列に整然と並ぶ人たち。粗野な言動はない。 人々の忍耐には讃嘆させられる。
3. LA HABILIDAD. THE ABILITY (技術力)
La de los arquitectos e ingenieros, por ejemplo. Los edificios se balancearon pero no cayeron.
The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn’t fall.
例えば、信じられないほどの建築技術。建物は揺れても倒れない。
4. LA GRACIA. THE GRACE (Altruismo. Selflesness) 気品（無私）
La gente compró solo lo necesario para el presente, así cada cual podía comprar algo.
People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.
今現在必要なものだけを買う人たち、誰にでも行きわたるようにと。
5. EL ORDEN. THE ORDER (秩序)
No hubo saqueos en las tiendas. Nadie se apoderó de las vías ni sonó el claxon. Simplemente la gente comprendió.
No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.略奪されない商店、警笛も追い越しもない路上。ただ分別あるのみ。
Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?

報道はとても抑制されている。バカなリポーターは皆無。静かな報告だけだ。
何よりも、この機会を利用してうまく立ち回ろうとする政治家がいない。
店内で電気が消えると、買い物客たちは商品を棚に戻して静かに出てゆく。
この未曾有の大災害の真只中にあって、日本の人たちは世界へ向けて多くの教えを送っているのだ。
6. EL SACRIFICIO. THE SACRIFICE (自己犠牲)
Cincuenta trabajadores se quedaron bombeando agua de mar a los reactores nucleares. ¿Cómo podrán ser compensados?

7. EL CARIÑO. THE TENDERNESS (優しさ)
Los restaurantes recortaron los precios. Los cajeros ATM permanecieron sin vigilancia. El más fuerte cuidó del más débil.

8. EL ENTRENAMIENTO. THE TRAINING (修練)
El más viejo y el más niño, todos sabían exactamente qué hacer. Y lo hicieron.
The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.

10. LA CONCIENCIA. THE CONSCIENCE (良心)
Cuando la luz se fue en las tiendas, los clientes pusieron todo en las repisas y salieron en silencio. Con el país en medio de un desastre colosal los ciudadanos japoneses dieron muchas lecciones al mundo.
When the power went off in a store people put things back on the shelves and left quietly.
